“Emmi” is the idiosyncratic alt-pop moniker for musician Emily Kocontes. Hailing from Newbury Park and taking up residence in Los Angeles, Emily has the West Coast in her soul. It’s nearly impossible to listen to her hook-driven tunes without repeating them. Her distinctive pop sensibility shimmers through her music with catchy melodies and choruses. At a very young age Emily gravitated towards music and her talents were clear. Inspired by her father who is an R&B musician, she has always had a unique ability to write and perform. Having co-written the song "Hideaway" with Grace VanderWaal in the feature film "Wonderpark," Emily is well on her way to fulfilling her lifelong passion and creative flair for pop music.
