About
The vibey tunes of Frook are produced by Christian Nanzell, a guitar-playing, hip hop-loving jazz nerd from Sweden. Christian studied music in high school and has since kept at it. For his Frook project, he’s replaced his guitar with an MPC, always in search of cool drum samples. Christian has a deep affection for noisy, gritty old records and vintage gear. Frook’s distinctive sound is shaped through his endeavor to produce vintage vibes taking us back to the '30s and '40s, while adding a twist of old school hip hop. He doesn’t mind putting a little grit in the brew, as this adds just enough dirt and swing to it.
