About

We all have that one song that changed the way we listen to music. For Waldemar Soop it was hearing Daft Punk’s “Around The World” playing on MTV as a young boy. From that moment, the French House-era of the late 1990’s has been his constant source of inspiration. When producing, Soop refuses to be held back by preconceived concepts and using just one formula. Playing around with his favourite instrument - the synth, he allows each song to evolve organically as one idea feeds itself to the next, searching for the right balance, tone and character of the song. Knowing when it's done is ultimately a combination of craftsmanship and intuition, "when it’s right- you just feel it!" he says. But don’t be fooled by his haphazard approach to production, with undeniable melodies and catchy hooks Soop incorporates the Swedish pop heritage with smooth electronic synthwave resulting in simply irresistible tracks.
