I began using Epidemic Sound as soon as I delved into content creation three years ago. I discovered the Referral Program and started to add my referral link everywhere: on my Instagram bio, in my old videos’ description boxes, or within comment sections.
One day, Epidemic Sound reached out with an offer to become one of their Ambassadors, collaborating on branded content. I’ve now partnered with them for two years and they’ve been nothing but supportive. At one point, they even invited me to Sweden to visit their HQ and produce a music video for one of their artists. It was a truly unforgettable experience!
Create content about something you're genuinely interested in or passionate about. I've been a creator now for around five years, and the individuals that I see really make a career out of being a creator would do it for free — ironically, they also become the most successful!
My primary focus when sharing affiliate links is making sure that I’m using them organically in my content. I want the piece of content to address a problem that the affiliate offer solves, but in a conversational way. This ensures that both my desires and my audience's desires are aligned, and I’m not promoting a product that won't genuinely help them!
Firstly it’s important to make sure the content you mention Epidemic Sound in is relevant to viewers who'd benefit from it. In my case, it’s video professionals.
Secondly in this series I use a custom intro that says “Sponsored by Epidemic Sound”, which plays within the first minute of the video. You don’t want to say too much too early, before they get any value from the video — or you’ll lose viewers.
Thirdly at around the four-minute mark, I have a segment specifically highlighting the benefits of Epidemic Sound and my experience of using it. I also add a quick reminder at the end of the video. That seems to work!
As an aspiring creator, I observed how other creators did things for inspiration but struggled with how to be original. It’s difficult to be the first to do something new, considering how many people are creating nowadays. In my search for originality, I started to have a breakthrough when I started to self-reflect and grab inspiration from my childhood. The things that make me who I am allow me to add my unique creative perspective, which results in content that's unique to me.
