AMBASSADOR STORIES
I began using Epidemic Sound when I initially got into content creation three years ago. I discovered the Referral Program — for every subscriber I bring in, I receive a free month on the Personal Plan. And I love freebies! So, I started to add my referral link everywhere, on my Instagram bio, in my old videos’ description boxes, or within comment sections.
One day, Epidemic Sound reached out with an offer to become one of their Ambassadors, collaborating on branded content. I remember how excited I was to receive that email. I’ve now partnered with them for two years and they’ve been nothing but supportive. At one point, they even invited me to Sweden to visit their HQ and produce a music video for one of their artists. It was a truly unforgettable experience!
Getting inspired to create content can be trickier than it sounds, especially when you’re striving for consistently high-quality content while dealing with burnout or a creative slump. My go-to method involves taking occasional breaks and indulging in an unrelated hobby I enjoy.
Another method that works for me is note-taking. Ideas often strike when least expected — during vacations, while reading a book, while driving, or even in the shower. As soon as an idea pops up, I make sure to jot it down. If you do this consistently, you'll end up with a big collection of raw ideas to draw from whenever you hit a creative block.
Building a successful channel takes time, and it’s inevitable that some of your early videos may not meet the mark. You need time to become comfortable in front of the camera, discover your niche, and determine what works best for you as a creator. Therefore, it’s essential to embrace experimentation and enjoy the process. Obscurity can work to your advantage in the early stages of your content creator journey.
Striking a balance between catering to your audience’s preferences and pursuing your creative passion is key. To monetize your channel, your content should, to some extent, align with your audience’s interests. If they respond positively to a particular type of video, it’s good to consider creating more of that content. However, it’s equally important to reserve time for producing content that genuinely excites you.
