One fateful day in spring 2022, producers Ballpoint, Dylan Sitts, and Jobii came together for a collaborative studio session in Brooklyn. Calling in from the Bay area was Cushy. That session would yield the cornerstone of musical ideas that the quartet eventually fleshed into “Tweak,” a 6-track instrumental hip hop EP bookended by two double-time party-starters—”Brap,” a salvo of rimshots you might expect from an HBCU marching band, and the title track “Tweak,” a weightless R&B shuffle likely to inspire blissful mind-states and intricate dance footwork.
