About

Henrik Olsson, the genius behind Yomoti, is truly a music creator on the rise! He owns several music projects and likes to create sounds through the exploration of different moods and feelings. This is true also for Yomoti where mood tends to vary and intertwine, with go-to moods being playful and relaxing. “In some way it's hard to put a finger on exactly what the mood is, because the tracks can deliver different moods at the same time, and that’s what makes Yomoti such a fun project to create and listen to”, Henrik says. Henrik mainly finds inspiration for Yomoti during night time. Being up when everyone’s asleep is something he finds curiously relaxing. In making his Yomoti tracks he likes to start out with a sample of some instrument and then remake it, chop it up, tune it differently, and so on to create a unique vibe. When the sample is in place and a new feeling has arisen, he can build the rest of the track around that. A fun piece of gear he uses frequently as the starting point in the tracks is the peculiar looking synth/workstation OP-1.
